Tremend is looking for QA Automation Engineer (Java) to join our team of bright thinkers and doers. You’ll use your problem-solving creativity to figure out our client’s most complex and challenging problems across different industries. Your Impact:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of our software products
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, non-functional, system, integration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and more
• Understand and explain the differences between different testing types, such as sanity vs smoke testing, regression vs retest, severity vs priority, product backlog vs sprint backlog
• Have a strong understanding of the defect life cycle and be able to effectively track and manage defects
• Apply agile methodologies and cadence to ensure efficient and effective testing processes
• Monitor and analyze QE metrics, including defect resolution, defect aging, test case execution, test automation percentage, defect density, and test coverage
• Familiarity with different testing approaches, such as top-down, bottom-up, iterative, prototype, agile, lean, and waterfall
• Understand the differences between Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), and Quality Engineering (QE)
• Knowledgeable in test automation tools and technologies, coding languages, OOP concepts, design patterns such as POM, coding principles like DRY, and various framework types (modular, data-driven, keyword, hybrid)
• Familiarity with BDD (Behavior Driven Development) approaches.

Your Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years as a Quality Engineer
• Proficient in Java (JavaScript experience is a plus)
• Hands-on experience in building CI/CD pipelines is mandatory
• Experience in continuous automated and manual testing activities throughout Agile development iterations is mandatory
• Microservices testing experience is mandatory
• Automated Web and API testing experience is mandatory; mobile automated testing is a plus
• AI testing experience is a big plus
• Passionate about software testing, testing tools, and new technologies
• Constantly looking to learn new things and improve existing ones
• Performance testing experience with Gatling, JMeter, or K6 is mandatory
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Hands-on experience in working with cloud solutions such as Azure or AWS.
