Lead Ops/SRE Engineer
Romania, Hybrid, Hybrid · Computer/SoftwareTremend is looking for a Lead Ops/SRE Engineer to join our team of bright thinkers and doers. You’ll use your problem-solving creativity to solve our client's most complex and challenging problems across different industries. We are on a mission to transform the world, and your ideas, thoughts, and solutions will help shape how we do it.
Your Impact:
- Lead and mentor the SRE / Ops team, ensuring efficient task delegation and skill development
- Design, implement, and optimize processes for incident management, change management, and service requests (ITSM best practices)
- Oversee cloud infrastructure, with a preference for AWS experience, while maintaining a cloud-agnostic approach for flexibility
- Implement and maintain observability solutions using tools like Dynatrace, DataDog, Grafana, or Prometheus for comprehensive monitoring and alerting
- Collaborate with development and engineering teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability
- Act as a consultant to stakeholders, providing guidance on best practices, infrastructure improvements, and process enhancements
- Leverage your banking experience to address industry-specific challenges and compliance requirements
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and frameworks for infrastructure management.
Your Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership position
- Strong expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM) and process setup
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or other cloud platforms (cloud-agnostic mindset preferred)
- Proven experience with observability tools like Dynatrace, DataDog, Grafana, and Prometheus
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
- Strong consulting skills with the ability to guide and influence stakeholders
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry is highly preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system reliability and performance
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams
