Tremend is looking for a Data QE who combines strong technical skills with a leadership mindset. You’ll be hands-on in delivering quality across Web, API, and backend layers, while also helping to shape QE practices, mentor peers, and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

Your Impact:

• Develop and implement robust testing strategies for data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses across the organization
• Design and execute automated data validation frameworks using Python to ensure data integrity throughout the ETL process
• Create comprehensive test plans and test cases focused on data quality, completeness, and accuracy in Databricks environments
• Build and maintain SQL-based testing solutions to validate data transformations across the data ecosystem
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into effective quality assurance processes
• Develop and maintain automated regression test suites to validate data pipelines and ETL processes
• Identify, document, and track data quality issues
• Provide technical consultation on data quality best practices and testing methodologies
• Support production incident resolution by performing root cause analysis of data quality issues
• Create clear documentation for testing procedures, automation frameworks, and data quality metrics
• Participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement to ensure quality is built into the development process.

Your Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 3 years focused on data warehouse and data lake environments
• Strong proficiency in Python for data validation, test automation, and ETL testing
• Advanced SQL skills for complex data validation across different database platforms
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, including testing data workflows and validating transformations
• Experience working with data lakes and modern data architecture patterns
• Demonstrated knowledge of data quality testing methodologies specific to data warehouse environments
• Experience with data modeling concepts, including Data Vault architecture
• Proficiency in automating data testing scenarios using Python frameworks and SQL
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and integration of data solutions
• Experience with version control systems (Git) for managing test code and automation scripts
• Strong understanding of data masking and subsetting techniques for testing environments
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to mentor junior team members on data quality best practices and testing methodologies
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential data quality issues.
