Google Practice Leader
Romania, Hybrid, Hybrid · Computer/SoftwareTremend is looking for a Google Practice Leader to join our team of bright thinkers and doers. You will be responsible of defining, growing, and delivering Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions while actively engaging in hands-on technical execution. This role requires a blend of strategic leadership, technical expertise, and execution ability, ensuring both business growth and high-quality cloud transformations.

- Define and execute the strategic vision for the Google Cloud practice
- Build and scale a high-performing team of GCP architects, engineers, and consultants
- Drive revenue growth by expanding GCP service offerings and developing go-to-market strategies.
- Own and manage the Google Cloud partner relationship, aligning on joint initiatives
- Ensure the organization achieves Google partner competencies and certification targets
- Act as a lead architect, guiding solution design and best practices for cloud migrations, data engineering, AI/ML, and security on GCP
- Engage in hands-on coding, automation, and cloud-native application development when needed
- Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) development, architecture reviews, and solution accelerators
- Design and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or equivalent tools
- Optimize cloud performance, security, and cost for enterprise-grade workloads
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, engaging with C-level executives and IT leaders to define cloud strategies
- Oversee large-scale GCP migrations, Kubernetes adoption, data platforms, and AI/ML implementations
- Ensure successful delivery of projects by enforcing best practices, governance, and technical standards
- Support sales and pre-sales efforts, designing solutions, writing proposals, and conducting workshops
- Mentor and upskill the engineering and architecture teams in advanced GCP capabilities
- Foster a culture of hands-on learning, automation, and cloud-native development
- Define certification roadmaps and ensure ongoing GCP skill development within the team.
Your Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years in IT consulting, cloud strategy, or enterprise architecture
- 5+ years hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Compute Engine, Kubernetes (GKE), Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud IAM
- Strong coding and scripting skills (Python, Go, or Java)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager, Ansible, or equivalent)
- Hands-on expertise in CI/CD, DevOps, Kubernetes, and security best practices
- Ability to lead troubleshooting, performance tuning, and cloud security audits
- Proven team leadership experience in growing cloud practices
- Track record of delivering large-scale cloud transformations and engaging with enterprise clients
- Ability to balance hands-on execution with leadership responsibilities
- Strong pre-sales and solutioning experience, including responding to RFPs and leading technical workshops.
