Tremend is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Embedded Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through the implementation of effective testing strategies and methodologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, improve testing processes, and drive quality improvements throughout the software development lifecycle.
 

Your Impact:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of our software products
• Understand and explain the differences between different testing types, such as sanity vs smoke testing, regression vs retest, severity vs priority, and product backlog vs sprint backlog
• Have a strong understanding of the defect life cycle and effectively track and manage defects
• Apply agile methodologies and cadence to ensure efficient and effective testing processes
• Monitor and analyze QE metrics, including defect resolution, defect aging, test case execution, test automation percentage, defect density, and test coverage
• Familiarity with different testing approaches, such as top-down, bottom-up, iterative, prototype, agile, lean, and waterfall
• Understand the differences between Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), and Quality Engineering (QE)
• Develop and maintain test scripts in Python
• Testbench maintenance and update when needed
• Development and maintenance of tools for Test Automation to improve efficiency and quality
• Familiarity with TDD (Test Driven Development) and BDD (Behavior Driven Development) approaches.

 

Your Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Quality Engineer, with a focus on Embedded Systems
• Proficient in building scalable automation frameworks using Python, programming experience with C/C++ is considered a plus
• Linux experience (low-medium level)
• Proficiently to analyze system & technical requirements and develop test scripts
• Experience with Test management tools, and Project Management tools
• Hands-on experience in building CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in automated and manual testing activities throughout Agile development iterations
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of the Automotive Testing Standard (A-SPICE)  is a plus
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 is a plus.
